Doxycycline Hydrochloride ........ 100 mg.
Solvents ad ................................. 1 ml
Doxycycline belongs to a group of tetracycline antibiotics. It can reversibly bind to the receptor on the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome, interfering with the formation of ribosomal complex of tRNA and mRNA, and ultimately inhibiting protein synthesis by preventing the extension of the peptide chain. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
| INDICATIONS | Treatment of infectious diseases of pig caused by gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma, such as mycoplasma pneumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis and pasteurellosis, etc. |
| DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION | Intramuscular injection: 5-10mg/kg of body weight (0.05-0.1ml/kg of body weight) per day and 2-3 consecutive days for pig. |
| SIDE EFFECT | (1) Intramuscular injection can cause pain, inflammation and necrosis at the injection site. (2) Certain liver and nephrotoxicity; overdose can cause severe damage. |
| PRECAUTIONS | Use with caution in animals with severe liver and kidney damage. Forbidden for pregnant and lactating animals as it penetrates the placenta and enters milk. |
| WITHDRAWAL PERIOD | 28 days for pig. |
