Indication:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by various Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella, Salmonella, etc.) and Staphylococcus aureus.
Dosage and Administration
Cattle, Sheep, and Goats: 2 mg per kg of body weight. Administered IM or IV once daily.
Swine: 5 mg per kg of body weight. Administered IM once daily.
Horses: 6.6 mg per kg of body weight. Administered IV every 24 hours.
Dogs and Cats: 4-6 mg per kg of body weight. Administered IM or SC every 24 hours.
Poultry: 5-10 mg per kg of body weight. Administered IM or via drinking water.
