Reassortant Avian Influenza Virus (H5 Vaccine) Vaccine, Inactivated

(Cell Source, H5N8 H5-Re14) - For Veterinary Use Only

Main Components: The vaccine contains inactivated Reassortant Avian Influenza Virus H5N8 Subtype, Strain H5 Re-14 proliferated by MDCK cells. The HA Titers before inactivation were 1:256.

Physical Property: White milky emulsion

Indication: For prevention of avian influenza H5 subtype 2.3.4.4b branch. Immunity produced after 14 days. Protection: Chickens (6 months), Ducks/Geese (4 months with booster).

📏 Administration and Dosage

Inject intramuscularly or subcutaneously at the neck area:

  • Chickens (14-35 days): 0.3 ml
  • Chickens (>35 days): 0.5 ml
  • Ducks/Geese (14-35 days): 0.5 ml
  • Ducks/Geese (>35 days): 1.0 ml
⚠️ Precautions
  • Don't administer to birds infected with avian influenza virus or unhealthy birds.
  • Do not freeze the vaccine. Store at 2-8ºC.
  • Restore to room temperature and shake well before use.
  • Once opened, use within 1 day.
  • Do not use within 28 days before slaughter.

What is the shelf life and storage condition?
The vaccine has a validity of 12 months when stored properly at temperatures between 2-8ºC. Important: Do not freeze.
How long does it take for the immunity to develop?
Effective immunity is generally produced 14 days after the vaccination is administered.
Is a booster shot necessary for waterfowls?
Yes, for ducks and geese, one booster after the first administration is recommended to extend the immune period to 4 months.
Can this vaccine be used on unhealthy birds?
No, the vaccine should not be administered to birds already infected with the influenza virus or those in an unhealthy state.
What is the withdrawal period for slaughter?
The vaccine must not be used within 28 days before the birds are scheduled for slaughter.
How should the vaccine be prepared before injection?
The vaccine temperature should be restored to room temperature and the bottle should be shaken well before use. Once opened, it must be used within 24 hours.
