Product Description

Veterinary Injectable Phenylbutazone 20% Dexamethasone Injection for Horses, 100ml

Composition:
Each ml contains:
• Phenylbutazone: 200mg
• Dexamethasone (as sodium phosphate): 0.38 mg
• Excipient: Q.S.P. 100 ml

Mechanism of Action:

Dexamethasone is a member of glucocorticoid family and like other drugs in this group it has a pharmacologic effect in all cells on the body. It provides significant immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory actions by inhibiting lytic enzymes released during stress and inflammation.

Phenylbutazone, an NSAID, inhibits prostaglandin effects that produce pain and fever. It reduces vascular permeability, preventing edema and diapedesis during the early stages of inflammation. The combination of these two active ingredients ensures predominant pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects.

Indications of use:
Anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic. Indicated for musculoskeletal inflammations like arthritis, osteoarthritis, laminitis, and tendonitis in horses.
